Vixy.net is a great service to rip videos off Youtube or Google Video. Just copy and paste the video URL into the form on Vixy.net, then select the type of video you want to convert the file into and download into your desktop. I love its simplicity and effectiveness! Minor complaint is if the site is very busy, it doesn't always work and you'll have to reload the page. and try again. I've used it several times and it usually works great!
